New Mini Scout for fm 2010 version 10.0, 10.1
One more year, one more FM one more release. We are not getting any younger, are we?
I didn't know if I would continue to support the tool due to the amount of time it requires and the few I have, but hopefully from a "memory point of view" the 2010 opus is very similar to the 2009.
This version should work fine with Football Manager 2010 version 10.0 and 10.1, on XP, Vista, 7.

Note that it seems there is numerous fm.exe out there. For example direct2drive version seems different from Boxed and Steam. Basically if the exe is different then the memory allocation is different and the scout won't work. If Mini detects your version is different than the one in the database then it will offer you the option to load one of them. I can already tell you it won't work 99.99% of the time but who knows?

I can't give much support for vista an 7 as I don't use them. Try to run the scout with xp compatibility enabled if possible.
Thx a lot Amster, your scout tool is always the best one because of its friendly UI and rich features.
And I do not think the search function has things to do with the version of windows as the old one for 2009 worked well on vista(well I am no programmer so do not mind me if I am wrong :)).
Anyway, thanks again for your wonderful work, and if you have some spare time, would you please look into the search issue? :D

Running it in compatibility mode on 7 says it cannot locate the config file, which I can see with my own eyes.
I hope there is a solution, as this tool is by far the best I've used for FM. Would be a shame to have to do without!

Tried the new version. No progress for Windows 7, the whole interface looks wrong, not at all like the old version, or the screenshot :(

Windows Vista still doesn't work the search with FM10.1

Scout loads OK and looks nice, but dies while loading data:

Yeah it appears to not load the database. When I click load it just says 'Players found: 0'.

Tried 2.2, same datetime issue as with version 2.1.
It might be a steam issue, but I doubt it, as Mini Scout 2.0 worked well with 9.3 in steam.
Seems to be rather different presentation of dates from FM side...
On a side note, this seems to be bigger issue, because none of the other scouts are compatible with 10.1 as well :)

Well, as it turns out, Steam version differs from patched boxed version.
Boxed: 10.1.0 84702
Steam: 10.1.0 84847
Hope that gives more insight into matters.
BTW: MS is still the easiest to use scout, so thanks for that, MX :)
Yeah it will be great if you can do one that works for Vista!
But it is your choice whether to do it or not! I respect your decision.

Great job again, and I'm sure you're aware of how much your work is appreciated by the FM community.
It seems like the latest version of MiniScout does NOT work with the steam version of the game - upon starting MiniScout, the database shows to have been created on 02.01.2999, and nothing seems to work.
If you need any input from someone with Steam, let me know - I'd love to help.
Unfortunately if the steam fm.exe is different from the boxed version then the memory allocation is different, and there's not much I can do right now. I am thinking of writing a little scanner to auto-update the memory address but it requires deep testing and I am really unsure if it would be reliable.
For the boxed version I'll try to look what is wrong with the search panel but I'am unsure of people feedback. Is the main panel, attributes and positions working on vista and 7? Does it show a date like 02.01.2999 in search panel? And does anyone have it working on xp?
I know that ruci at the SI forums got his real time editor to work for Steam tonight - I helped him test it on Steam, using Artmoney etc. I'd love to help you out too, if needed. Cheers.

Windows Vista and XP too.
Same problem of JPN. At vista: Database created on 23-08-2009 [date correct] but then it shows: "Zero found".
The only think working is that it shows the attributes of the active player that i'm seeing in FM.

I still get the date time bug. I have x64 Vista, and get the same result regardless of whether or not both programs are in admin mode/XP mode or not.

- What do you mean by saving regens?
- Are you sure you have the DateTime bug with mini 2.2.1 and FM boxed version? Does the others panel works?
I guess that the problems I was hoping to avoid by not getting the steam version showed up anyway in the direct2drive version.
My version says:

Otherwise, it's installed in the same folder and method as the boxed version. I am assuming that the memory allocation is different for my exe too?

If the search panel show a date like database created on 2199 or something like then yes it's a different version. Could you email or post your fm.exe somewhere I would like to have a look on it?

It now works for steam, is it meant to allow you to edit the stats as in previous versions? The presence of the padlock implies you can, but I can't edit any stats...
You can't edit anymore with this version, an editor version was planned but is still unfinished.

In version 10.1.1, load the database, then press "no", and then "yes" may work for you.

Hello mx Amster. I strongly need version 10.3, and I would be willing to help logistically or financially to make that a reality soon. The function of searching by teams do not have any editor or scouting, and it is very important to me, for example to sort my team from the first team until the sub-19.
